After the merger of Summit Medical Group and CityMD, Summit Health had to choose a customer data platform. HIPAA compliance was non-negotiable.
Selection
Mar Dat wrote the RFP and evaluation workbook, including the security questionnaire, business associate agreement precondition and insurance requirements, ran the selection, and built an independent three-year ROI model checked against Summit's own numbers. One major vendor was removed because it could not meet HIPAA requirements.
Implementation and managed services
Mar Dat then implemented the data management platform, covering project governance, technical design, a first, second and third party data framework and partner integration, and stayed on as a vendor for three years under a HIPAA business associate agreement, through the VillageMD acquisition.
